Hello, you! A lot of you have been messaging me, asking where I disappeared to and if everything was okay. So for those who were wondering, I’m doing well, and everything is fine. Actually, everything is great. I landed in New York yesterday. I was traveling and couldn’t reply. Now I’ll tell you what’s going on and why I’m in the States.

Our Startup at the Leaders In AI Summit NYC 2026

Leaders In AI Summit is one of the biggest international events that brings together leaders from top companies across different industries. The main topics of the event include the practical use of artificial intelligence, its role in day-to-day corporate operations, how to use AI to manage processes more efficiently, how to reduce costs, agentic AI, and automation. Companies like Lenovo, JP Morgan Chase, NVIDIA, New York-Presbyterian, and others are represented at the summit. Given the theme, Brian (my partner) and I really wanted to present our startup to a large audience and introduce our AI agent to potential clients. We weren’t 100% sure it would work out, but as you can see, I’m here.

Today was the first day of the summit. I’ll tell you what happened and why this event is so important for our startup.

Day 1

Brian and I were already at the Marriott Marquis at 12:00. We checked in, picked up our passes, and met other participants in the lobby. The first session started at 2:00, so we had plenty of time to grab coffee, have a snack, and talk with people. As expected, most of the attendees were from banking, finance, healthcare, and, like us, the tech industry, people who are not only there to learn but also to sell their products. We introduced ourselves and our startup. I did most of the talking, while Brian explained the technical details. Our story resonated with many people. A startup founded by college friends that eventually turned into an international project - it didn’t leave people indifferent. My background also sparked interest, and I gladly told them about Georgia and our small team in Tbilisi.

The session “Sovereign AI in the Age of Agents” turned out to be even more interesting than we expected. The speaker, Peter Orbán from Lenovo, discussed agentic AI through five key ideas:

  • Who owns and controls the servers and infrastructure that AI runs on

  • Token sovereignty - who controls the cost of using AI

  • Who owns the data, where it is stored, and who has access to it

  • Who controls what AI decides on its own, and where human involvement is needed

  • Who manages the day-to-day operation, monitoring, and updates of AI systems

After the session, we had a 40-minute break and discussed the topics that were covered. It was a great opportunity to introduce our startup to other attendees. I’m happy to say that we may have found a few potential clients. Then we attended another session, this time focused on data readiness for agentic AI, followed by group work. Brian and I didn’t miss this chance, and I represented our team in front of the audience.

We ended the evening at the hotel bar, where we got to know each other even better in a more informal setting.

A Few Words about Traveling in the US

Those of you who follow my travel blogs were probably expecting some tips again about traveling in the US. Unfortunately, I don’t have much to share this time. As you know, I’m here on a work trip, so I don’t have much time to explore the city. But that’s okay. This isn’t my first time in New York. I’ve been here several times during college. This time, I have different goals.

I didn’t need to book an apartment either, since I’m staying with Brian. The only things I bought were my flight tickets and travel internet. On business trips, my colleagues and I always use mobineX roaming internet. This time was no different. I got a mobineX roaming internet package for my trip to the US. I use a lot of data since I’m working from here too, but it’s more than enough, and I have no issues with speed. I decided to go with the unlimited package. If your company’s employees travel abroad often, I recommend checking out mobineX’s special corporate offers. They tailor roaming internet packages specifically to your company’s needs. Oh, and one more thing, my favorite feature: an AI-powered assistant that automatically suggests the most optimal roaming internet packages for your trip.

Goodbye for Now

So that’s it for now, friends. Thank you for supporting our journey and standing by us. I’ll say goodbye for now and hopefully come back with good news. Wish us luck.
